Is russian hard to learn

There is an opinion among foreigners that the Russian language is very difficult to learn. And this is true in a way. However, do all of you know the rules perfectly well, write and speak without mistakes, or put the stress correctly? Let alone the foreigners, for whom the entire language system is alien. However, not everything is as bad as it seems at first glance.

Pros in learning Russian

Don’t be afraid right away and give up the idea of learning the Russian language because amazing, pleasant discoveries are awaiting you.

  1. There are no articles in Russian. Absolutely. None!
  2. Russian letters are easier to remember and understand than, for example, Chinese characters.
  3. There are only three tenses in Russian (remember 16 in English or 19 in French!).
  4. There is no strict word order in Russian. You do not need to think about where to put the exact sentence part. And even an interrogative sentence may look the same as an affirmative one — only the intonation will change.
  5. Thanks to borrowings from English and many international words, the learning process will be easier for you as some of the words will already be in your vocabulary.

In general, the main difficulties of the Russian language, from the grammatical point of view, end at level A2. Then you improve your vocabulary, feel free to use a variety of constructions, and at some point, you start to have fun.

If you want to learn the language with pleasure, we invite you to enroll in courses of Russian as a foreign language at the School “Leader”. Group or individual lessons, online training, business course — choose a convenient option and start improving your Russian!
