The ancient national holiday of Kupalje is celebrated in Russia, Belarus and Ukraine on the day of summer solstice when all the nature forces reach their peak. Kupalje is covered with myths and legends, ancient pagan and christian traditions are bonded tightly and beliefs of our ancestors are reflected in its sacramentals. On this day herbals are picked up, wreaths are made out of field flowers, songs of Kupalje are sung, games are held, people dance around the fire of Kupalje and jump over it in order to be strong, healthy and happy.
On July 5th 2019 we invite you to celebrate this national holiday with us at our School at Internatsionalnaya str., 10. The meeting will be held from 4 PM to 6 PM.

Together with our teachers you will learn to sing Belarusian songs of Kupalje and play traditional games. You will also be able to attend a master-class on making Kupalje wreaths. And the most active participants of our holiday will be given small folk-styled presents.
And on July 6th we invite everyone to take part in the beautiful and magical summer holiday of Kupalje in the Belarusian state museum of folk architecture and rural lifestyle in the Ozertso village, which is 5 km away from Minsk. A regular bus goes straight to the museum. All the participants come to the School at Internatsionalnaya str., 10 at 3 PM. The holiday is held in the Ozertso village from 6 PM till 9 PM. The ticket price is 6,50 rubles.
The following events are:
- Making Kupalje wreaths;
- Kupalje parade;
- Festive ignition of the Kupalje fire, round dancing and games;
- Folk fairy tales and legends;
- Traditional songs of Kupalje, games and dancing to the Belarusian folk instruments.
