The conversation can begin with a question about your hobbies. In order to maintain communication at the proper level, it is advisable not to stop at monosyllabic answers. The following expressions will help you with this:
Что тебе нравится делать в свободное время? — What do you like doing in your free time?
In the answer, after the word “нравится”, you can put both a noun and a verb in an infinitive form: нравится чтение, нравится читать.
– А чем вы обычно занимаетесь в свободное время? / What do you usually do in your free time?
– Я люблю ходить в походы и читать. А какие у вас увлечения? / I love hiking and reading. What are your hobbies?
– У меня немного свободного времени. Мне нравится смотреть фильмы и слушать музыку. / I have some free time. I like watching movies and listening to music.
– Какие хорошие фильмы вы смотрели недавно? / What good movies have you watched recently?
