In this lesson, you will learn about the conjugation first type Russian verbs in the present tense, that is, when verbs answer the questions “what are you doing (что ты делаешь)? You will learn how they change in persons and what endings they get. Verbs of the 1st Conjugation, which we will deal with in this lesson, end in -at and get the following endings in the present tense:
– I know (я знаю);
– you know (ты знаешь);
– he knows (он знает);
– she knows (она знает);
– it knows (оно знает);
– we know (мы знаем);
– you know (вы знаете);
– they know (они знают).
Hint: To form the present tense of first conjugation verbs, remove the ending – (ть) from the infinitive and add the appropriate present tense: do (делать), do (делаю), does (делает).
