The topic of today’s lesson is negative sentences with the particle «не» (not). You will also repeat the words and grammatical constructions you have already learned from the previous video lessons topics.

The particle “не” “not” in the following cases is placed between the subject and the predicate, denying an action or condition.

– Я работаю преподавателем I work as a teacher. — Я не работаю учителем I do not work as a teacher.

The particle “не” stands between the subject and the predicate, marking the fact that the speaker is not doing something (not working as a teacher).

– Ты из Германии?

– Да, я из Германии. — Нет, я не из Германии.

– Вы живете в Москве?

– Да, мы живем в Москве. — Нет, мы не живем в Москве.
