In this lesson, you will continue learning the nouns cases. Today – the creative case (С. С.) and repeat the professions topic.

Endings in С. С. in the singular will be changed according to the following rules:

• in the masculine after a consonant → the ending -ом – врач → врачом;
• in m. with letters – ь, -й at the word end→ -ем — библиотекарь → библиотекарем, диджей → диджеем;
• in feminine with the letter -a at the end of the word → -ой – официантка → официанткой;
  • in feminine with the letter -я at the word end  → -ой – официантка; at the word end  → -ей/-ёй — швея → швеёй..

She is a doctor (N. C., кто? who?) – She works as a doctor (C. C., кем? by whom?).

The endings in the C. C. in the plural are changed as follows:

• in m. after a consonant → consonant + ending -ами – врач → врачами;
• in m. with the letters -ь, -й at the word end  → -ями – библиотекарь → библиотекарями, диджей → диджеями;
• with the letter -a at the word end → -ами — официантка → официантками;

       –     in f. with the letter -я at the word end  → -ями — швея → швеями..

Он строитель (И. П.) He’s a builder (N.С.). — Они работают строителями (Т. П.) They work as construction workers (C. C.).
