This is the thirteenth lesson in the series “Learning to Read Russian. Today you will learn which letters of the Russian alphabet can stand for voiced consonants: б, в, г, д, ж, з, й, л, м, н, р. they sound the same as in the alphabet. The letters б, в, г, д, ж, з can also stand for a deaf consonant; they are called “paired”. Russian letters л, м, н, р, й are always voiced, they are called “unpaired”.
