We continue to study Russian letters and sounds. In this lesson you will learn which Russian consonant letters stand for deaf sounds: к, п, с, т, ф, х, ц, ч, ш, щ. The sounds п, к, ф, т, ш, с are paired, they have a voiced pair. Sounds ts, h, w, s are always muffled, they are unpaired. Paired sounds: б-п, д-т, г-к, з-с, ж-ш, в-ф. The first sound in the pair is voiced, the second is deaf.
