Lesson 27. Where do you live?

This lesson is about learning words and expressions for “Where do you live (Где ты живешь)?” Note: The letter (Е) is always under the stress..

The vocabulary for this lesson

Я живу в… / I live in…;
Я из…/ I’m from…;
в Москве / in Moscow;
Откуда ты? / Where are you from?
Ты из…? / Are you from…?

Note how noun endings change: Москва – in Moscow, Москва – from Moscow, Россия – in Russia, from Russia, Санкт-Петербург – from St. Petersburg.

Also in this lesson, you will repeat the verb changes by person in the present tense. The verb to live (жить) is conjugation I:

– (я живу) I live;

– (ты живёшь) you live;

– (он, она, оно живёт) he, she, it lives;

– (мы живём) we live;

– (вы живёте) you live;

– (они живут) they live.
