The topic of this lesson is the genus of animate nouns in the Russian language. Animate nouns in Russian can have two genders: masculine (masculine) and feminine (feminine). The masculine noun can be replaced with the pronoun “he” (он), and the feminine with the pronoun “she” (он).

The adjective becomes the same kind as the noun with which it is used: smart man (умный мужчина), smart boy (умный мальчик) — masculine gender (pay attention to the ending of the adjective), smart woman (умная женщина), smart girl (умная девочка )— feminine gender.
